At Bentwood Events, our team has been busy helping couples bring their dream weddings to life, and we’ve had the pleasure of working at some of Sydney’s most iconic locations—none more magical than The Calyx and McKell Park.

Garden Glamour at The Calyx

Tucked within the Royal Botanic Garden, The Calyx continues to be one of our most sought-after venues—and for good reason. This year, we’ve styled several stunning weddings in this lush, glasshouse-inspired space, where our classic bentwood chairs added a timeless touch to the contemporary garden setting. With its iconic floral wall and dramatic architecture, The Calyx perfectly complements both minimalist and romantic styling.

We’ve loved seeing couples blend modern elegance with botanical charm. One memorable February wedding featured all-white bentwoods paired with soft linen accents and cascading orchids—a dreamy match for the venue’s natural backdrop.

Waterfront Whimsy at McKell Park

There’s something truly special about a wedding by the water, and McKell Park has offered some of the most serene, intimate ceremonies of the season. Overlooking Sydney Harbour, this heritage park has provided a relaxed yet refined setting for couples looking for a laid-back vibe with five-star views.

We’ve delivered ceremony setups with our signature furniture and décor that elevate the natural beauty of the park without overshadowing it. Think warm timber, rattan textures, and our ever-popular scalloped edge umbrellas. With autumn light filtering through the trees and ferries passing by, it’s been the perfect place for heartfelt “I do’s.”
